Legitimation TWS Account

For your personal legitimation, we need two documents from you, one as proof of identity and another as proof of address. With the account application, you have the option of uploading the documents as a PDF or J-Peg file directly after the application. When opening by post, we need a copy of the documents mentioned as an attachment.

For a successful legitimation we need the following two documents from you:

These documents are accepted as proof of identity:

  • a copy of your passport
  • a copy of the identity card (front and back)

The following documents are accepted as proof of address (not older than 3 months)

  • Account statement with name and address
  • or a copy of the credit card statement also with name and address
  • Custody account statement


Important note: Individual customers within the EEA area also need a selfie with the legitimation document.

In order not to drag the legitimization process unnecessarily into the lag, we ask you for the documents above. To provide format, incomplete or outdated copies are not taken into account in the legitimation process.
