Ordertypes

Market Order

A Market Order is a Sell or Buy Order placed at the current Bid or Ask price. This order will be executed at the next tradable price.

Limit Order

With a Limit Order you buy or sell at a given or better price then the actual market price. The Limit Order will not fill at a price less favourable than your limit price, but it does not guarantee a fill.

Stop Order

If the stop price to sell or buy positions is reached or broken the Stop Order becomes a Market Order and will be executed. The execution of the Stop order may be significantly away from its stop price. There is no execution guaranteed. You place a Sell Stop Order always below the current market price to protect a profit on a long position or to limit a loss. The Buy Stop Order should be placed above the current market price to limit a loss or protect a profit on a short position. You can also place a Stop Order to enter the market.

OCO Order (One cancels the other)

Two orders are connected. One of the orders will be cancelled if the other one is executed. You can use the OCO order in combination as a stop loss order and a take profit order.

Parent and contingent Order

The trader places the Order for entry (Market, Stop or Limit Order) and connects it with an OCO Order.

Trailing Stop Order

You set the distance to the current price and place a Trailing Stop Order to entry or exit the market. With rising prices the Sell Trailing Stop follows the price with the given distance. At falling prices the Stop does not change and a market order is submitted when the stop price is hit. The Trailing Stop reacts contrary in falling markets.

Scale Out Order

You combine a Parent and Contingent Order with one or more OCO Orders.

Direct Deal Ticket

A Direct Deal Order is a Sell or Buy Order which is placed and executed at the current price. You can use the right mouse button to configure the settings of the Direct Deal Ticket. The single-click function can be activated, the underlying can be chosen and you can set the slippage.
